Education changes lives — but it requires steady support. Because Achungo serves vulnerable children in rural Kenya, private donations fund teacher salaries, meals, dormitories, scholarships, and school expansion.

Every dollar given supports operations in Kenya. U.S. leadership serves voluntarily, and administrative costs in the U.S. are personally covered by board members. Our EIN number is 61-1598457.
Travel With Us
We lead 10-day service trips to Achungo each January and June. The trips are open to any adults and children 10+ accompanied by an adult.
Estimated total cost (including flights): approximately $4,200 in June and $3,300 in January. Sign-up deadlines: Each March (for June) and September (for January).
These trips are immersive and relational. In addition to a 2-day safari at the beginning of the itinerary, participants spend a week at the schools in Rodi and Imbo, assisting in classrooms, playing with students, supporting school projects, and experiencing daily life alongside staff and children.
Participants attend 4 preparatory meetings during the 2 months prior to the trip departure.
